Don’t mind us, we’re just practising our acceptance speech for the London Venue & Catering Awards. We know. We’ve been subtle about this (checks notes *plastered all over socials and email*). Which is why – discreetly, of course – we’re now plastering it all over our website too.
‘Finalist’, ‘soon to be announced winner (fingers crossed)’ – whatever you want to call us, the category to watch is ‘Best Venue Space in the City’. As in, ‘your go-to venue for large-scale events…in the City’, ‘the only 600-seat Auditorium…in the City’, ‘expert branding, catering and production partners…in the City’, ‘dazzling views of London’s breathtaking skyline…from the City’ (granted, that last one didn’t quite work). Moving on…
Whether it’s a high-profile conference, glamorous private party, game-changing brainstorm, or anything and everything in-between, our passionate team have the vision, expertise and ingenuity to deliver events as original as the venue they’re hosted in, and the five incredible events spaces to bring them to life.
Spaces like our sensational 600-seated Auditorium. Spacious, classic and full of mod-cons, it is a true Mermaid original, wowing with world-class acoustics, state-of-the-art AV and unparalleled sightlines to its showstopping stage (think, room for a car. Or an orchestra. Or a dazzling product launch. Or, now we come to mention it, a glittering seated dinner – take your pick).
Speaking of glittering, and dazzling, they are just two of the words you could use to describe the views from our fabulous, and aptly-named, River Rooms (we also accept spectacular, electrifying, magnificent…). From our prime position on the banks of the majestic River Thames, the capital’s captivating skyline spreads out before you, with Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe and The Shard among City of London icons vying for the limelight. Flooded with natural daylight – and with an exclusive private entrance, extended area ideal for use as a dancefloor and those aforementioned envy-inducing views – our River Rooms make a first impression like no other.
Now, when it comes to versatility, there is nowhere better than our adaptable Newgate Suite. Room not to your requirements? No worries – the Newgate can be chopped, changed and put back together again with its moving partition walls. Multiple breakout rooms a must-have? Easy – the Newgate can be divided into five separate events spaces (remember those moving partition walls?). Exhibition planning on your to-do list? We’ve got you – the Newgate can accommodate 27 stands with ease. In need of a blank canvas for your branding? Why do you think we white-washed the Newgate’s walls?
Of course, white-washing walls isn’t all we do to make life easier for our clients. We also believe superior quality should come at an accessible price point.
