On 15th September Alicia Duncan, General Manager at The Mermaid London, a leading events venue in the City of London, boarded an aircraft which climbed up to 10,000ft before she plummeted towards the ground at speeds of over 120mph.

This skydive was in aid of 3-year old Soraya who was born with a rare brain disorder called Absent Corpus Callosum. To date Alicia has raised over £2,500 to provide Soraya with much needed therapy via the Anat Baniel Method, which will improve her quality of life.

Alicia Duncan commented: “I’d never expect that I’d enjoy falling through the sky so much. Perhaps it was the heightened adrenaline rush or shining a light on Soraya’s rare brain disorder, either way it’s been an amazing experience that’s all about supporting this amazingly brave little girl. Thank you to everyone that kindly donated, I’m truly shocked by your generosity and it is greatly appreciated.”
