The leading conference and events venue, located on the banks of the River Thames at Blackfriars, is a proud champion of corporate social responsibility, having already raised over £8,000 so far this year for Streets of London, a charity funding specialist support for homeless people across the capital. On a mission to create joy, share love, and inspire meaningful change this Christmas, its the more the merrier campaign is dedicated to demonstrating the true power of events to #MakeMeetingsMatter with every toast, every laugh and every festive moment.
Jackie Harding, Commercial Director at The Mermaid London, said: “We realise that for some of the most vulnerable people in our community, the most wonderful time of the year can actually be the hardest. As cost-of-living pressures worsen during the winter months, it’s vital that we accelerate our efforts to alleviate this burden for an ever-increasing number of people across the capital.
“So far this year, by donating £1 per day delegate rate package booked, we’ve exceeded last year’s £5,000 charity donation by 60 per cent. With four months of the year still to go and Christmas party season just around the corner, we’re determined to gift all who book with us the chance to make a tangible difference to the lives of their fellow human beings and experience the true magic of giving. We’ll keep our foot on the gas and, with the help of our wonderful clients and delegates, raise as much money as possible for the critical work of this life-changing charity.”
