Virgin Disruptors: Highlights

Virgin Disruptors takes over The Mermaid, London in October for a full day conference.

Objectives:

The 600 strong Virgin Disruptors event was the biggest yet, designed to change personal and professional attitudes with a series of compelling speakers, including Sir Richard Branson, interactive installations and opportunities to connect with like-minded people.

The event:

Needing an accessible, central London venue which could be exclusively hired and completely rebranded was integral to the success of this event. Guests took to their seats in the main Auditorium for a morning of practical and inspiring insights from creative thinkers and doers. The main stage within the Auditorium was revealed to guests complete with moon and stars where lunch was served for 250 guests. Help yourself food stations around the venue featured Square Pie Shop favourites, Louisiana Po Boy and a bespoke salad bar. Other spaces in the venue saw guests interact together to encourage creative thinking and networking. Demo stations from Adobe, Virgin Media and Virgin Radio added an unexpected disruption to the event.

The outcome:

Speaking about the event, Lisa Thomas, Global Head of Brand & Managing Director VEL said “The event was such a great success, over 90% of attendees want us to organise another one next year. The team at The Mermaid were fantastic, all the spaces complemented our event and nothing was too much trouble for them, thank you!”.

The Auditorium & Foyer + Mezzanine

The Auditorium, Foyer and Mezzanine go together like rhythm and blues. Used independently or together, all areas can be branded and designed to your desired style – we love it when guests feel at home.
